1521b586f0 Define %python3_pkgversion based on the Python's status 
Main Python should retain the value '3', non-main the major-minor one.
We need that to request the correctly versioned wheels for EPEL builds.

ef2d703504 Disable JIT on RHEL 
For now on, until we figure out a way of building the JIT with pre-built stencils,
we disable the JIT on RHEL to avoid a dependency on a specific LLVM+clang version.

1e24d38cd9 Add perf to the testing BuildRequires 
Perf profiling showing the Python functions is only
supported on x86_64 and aarch64 at the moment.

Adding perf as a BuildRequires allows tests that utilize the
perf binary to run.

81efe7427b Don't mangle the shebangs of test files 
Shebangs are mangled from #!/bin/bash to #!/usr/bin/bash, which causes
the change in data_offset calculated in tests, resulting in a
test_zipfile failure:

524afa95d3 Drop version constraints from Recommends 
This makes it easier for the package manager to determine "already broken" weak dependency.
When Python is updated, the Recommends now remain identical, rather than being "new".

Note that I don't know if dnf currently treats weak dependencies this way,
but the assumption is that it *might*.

The reverse dependency is versioned anyway, so the constraint is not necessary.

Intentionally not bumping the release, this can land with the next update.

    2000 loops, best of 5: 157 usec per loop

    $ python3.14 -m timeit -s 'import sysconfig' 'sysconfig.get_paths()'
    2000 loops, best of 5: 162 usec per loop

    $ python3.14 -m timeit -s 'import sysconfig' 'sysconfig.get_paths()'
    1000 loops, best of 5: 146 usec per loop

After:

    $ python3.14 -m timeit -s 'import sysconfig' 'sysconfig.get_paths()'
    5000 loops, best of 5: 75.9 usec per loop

    $ python3.14 -m timeit -s 'import sysconfig' 'sysconfig.get_paths()'
    5000 loops, best of 5: 77.1 usec per loop

    $ python3.14 -m timeit -s 'import sysconfig' 'sysconfig.get_paths()'
    5000 loops, best of 5: 76.2 usec per loop

This can be shipped together with the next alpha release.

6efb19ea1b Remove unnecessary export LINKCC=gcc 
I tracked the addition of this line to a 20-year old commit:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python2/c/d4a39597bc32ab2cf84b43a3b0c71a18d1a0e0ec

I can't see why this would still be necessary, and it also prevents the
package from being built with clang.

75087a7a85 Initial Python 3.14 package forked from Python 3.13 
Python's upstream decided to switch from artifacts GPG signing to sigstore.
We don't have sigstore in Fedora yet, so we're skipping the (now impossible) GPG check
without a replacement.

a8ce422a93 CI: Explicitly lists flags to be checked for -O3/-O0 
Not listing the flags skips the ones without -O.
This way, we no longer assert -O3/-O2 is the only -O flag,
but we also assert it is actually set.

222d4d99b9 Skip test_sendfile_close_peer_in_the_middle_of_receiving on ppc64le 
Reported upstream https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/123384
Which was a duplicate of https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/120226

The test is fixed on the main branch, but skipping is easier than backporting.

The failure occurs with Kernel 6.10.x even when Python is built with an older Kernel.
By skipping the tests, we can ship a CVE fix.
